I wanted to make my son's ultimate dream a reality. So for his 10th birthday I surprised him with a trip to Legoland! A truly wonderful experience for all Lego fans.
Staying at the Legoland Hotel really enhanced our experience! In addition to oozing with Legos (including giant floatable, stackable Legos in the pool and Lego play areas) they offered some wonderful features. My favorite has to be the Lego Master Builder's Workshop. Children were able to sign up upon arrival for these workshops. A Master Builder would provide each child with the appropriate Lego pieces and instruct them on how to create a Lego model. The child was able to keep the model!
My son really enjoyed the scavenger hunt that was set up in the room. Upon arrival, you were given a letter in your suite with several clues to solve the hunt and unlock the safe which included Lego Pixels, treats, a Lego magazine, juice box, and an activity booklet.
Every night in the lobby they hosted a pajama dance party complete with a D.J. and Lego characters to get the party started! At the conclusion of the dance party they would wind kids down with story time.
Many times throughout the day there were character meet-n-greets. We loved meeting our favorite Lego characters!
A Lego newspaper was delivered to the room each morning with all of the up-to-date Lego info. It was folded up like a real newspaper and my son felt so mature reading his paper each morning!
It was fantastic staying right next door to Legoland theme park and Legoland Waterpark. In addition to the benefit of having a very short walk to the entrance of the theme park, guests staying at Legoland Hotel also get in 30 minutes earlier than general admission! Not all rides are open 30 minutes prior, but several were and we felt like VIPs getting in before the rush!
I would highly recommend Legoland Hotel for those wanting the true Legoland experience!
