Sailing on Hurtigruten!

Small ship expedition cruising was amazing! I loved every bit of the adventure!

This type of cruising is for everyone who is excited and eager to learn and be adventurous and that has a zest for new experiences.

Sailing without the ‘frills’- Was GREAT!

Wildlife watching, lectures, documentaries, information sessions. Sailing with an Expedition team all top of their field of study.

Below is my sailing, on the Fram with Hurtigruten

St. Lawrence & Bays of Eastern Canada

New York to Halifax

Day 1: New York City

Day 2: At Sea

Day 3: Yarmouth NS

Day 4: At Sea

Day 5: Charlottetown, P.E.I

Day 6: Sailing by Bonaventure Island

Day 7: Havre-Saint-Pierre

Day 8: Bonne Bay, Newfoundland

Day 9: Cap-Aux-Meules, lles de la Madeleine

Day 10: At Sea

Day 11: Halifax, NS

There is down time on the ship, bring a book, work or start a puzzle with some strangers & meet new friends! As a solo traveler I found this ship very simple with not too many people.

Passenger capacity on FRAM: 318

Things to know:1 dinning area 3 meals a day (TIP: Grab banana or fruit for snack at breakfast for later)

Seated dinners mainly on sea days. Buffet meals were amazing, fresh soups, great variety of food choices for any diet, and always fish options. Very few food items to buy in gift shop on board. Can buy nuts and chips for your mini bar in cabin. Laundry services and pricing sheet in cabin. Can buy internet package & wine package. Always had morning wildlife watching, morning/night mile walks around ship! Use smaller tender boats to get into smaller ports of call. Very efficient must be able to take a big step, there are 2 people assisting in & out of boats.

The FRAM has 12 kayaks on board (6single/6double)Will only allow single kayaks to be used if you have a ‘wet’ card for advanced kayaking. They have a loading platform that they use right from the side of the ship. 2 hot tubs and sauna and work out room open 24hrs.Hot tubs closed for an hour or so for cleaning daily. Ship pricing are in NOK on ship being a Norwegian Ship.

This is an amazing cruise company! I highly recommend for the curious and adventurous! I will sail them again! Give me a call or email me! I'd love to help you book your experience with this amazing company!
