I recently had the pleasure of traveling to the beautiful country of Aruba with my family. This was my first time to the happy and sunny island of Aruba. We are lucky to have direct flights to this destination from our city which makes getting to Aruba a breeze. We arrived and were transported to our hotel by DePalm Tours which is a large tour company on the island that provides everything from transfers on a coach bus to adventurous off road tours in 4 wheel drive jeeps.
We arrived at the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort, an authentic Dutch resort property just steps away from Eagle Beach. We choose this property because it has a kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a large outdoor space to enjoy the sunsets. We also loved the architecture of the property which reminds you of classic Dutch dwellings along the canals in Amsterdam.
The highlight of our stay was an off road beach safari that included a visit to the islands Donkey Sanctuary, Baby Beach for snorkeling and an off road adventure. This tour is not for someone that wants a smooth ride, but it was very fun and my teenagers loved it!
We also rented a jeep for a few days to explore the island and the famed Palm Beach with the larger resorts like Hotel Riu Palace Aruba, the Hilton Aruba and the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Spa. This would have also have been a fun area to stay with all of the restaurants and beach activities.
We also made our way to Boca Catalina Beach for some sunny afternoon snorkeling adventures.
