Revive Spa JW Marriott
Traveling on business to the desert in the middle of the summer started to sound pretty awesome when I found out that the JW Marriott Desert Ridge was the home to Revive Spa. I decided to spend a few extra days there and enjoyed some golf and one of the best spas I’ve ever known.

The Revive Spa is huge – over 40 treatment rooms and private outdoor pool and two gender specific outdoor lounging areas. I enjoyed a facial, body treatment and a massage. Oh joy!

The facial was very clinical – after being cleansed, steamed and moisturized, my pores were examined and every fine line on my face was mapped out. Then the painful extractions commenced. Even though it seemed like a harsh treatment, I left there glowing and people commented on my radiant skin.

The body treatment was something new for me. I had an avocado lime mask smoothed on to my skin after a dry rub with a loofah for exfoliation. Once I was painted green, I was wrapped up in plastic and warm blankets to let the mask soak into my skin. I was then “scraped” clean and massaged with oils to complete the experience.

The last massage I had was after a very hot game of golf. I took a cool shower, then was manhandled and manipulated by a very strong massage therapist who eased all of my tired muscles. I admit I was exhausted after the massage and was asleep that evening before 7PM.
