My interests are many but one of my first loves in traveling is cruising. I have been on more than 40 cruises all over the world including river cruising and trans-Atlantic crossing. I hold two certificates with Cruise Lines International Associat...

Although small in comparison with most cruise ships (less than 250 passengers on board), these ships offer the height of luxury for their lucky passengers. You will be sailing on a working sailing ship yet with all the amenities of a much larger ship.  Pools, entertainment, shore excursions, and gourmet dining are all at your fingertips.

You’ll find the pace of these cruises to be more relaxed and casual.  Without rigid schedules, you have the opportunity to really enjoy your surroundings and find fellowship with crew members and other passengers.

And for those who geek out on the sailing traditions, each day the Captain will brief you on the day, tell stories of sailing the ocean and offer you a unique opportunity to learn about navigation, tying knots, or even climbing the mast to the crow’s nest.  Imagine lying out on the bowsprit and watching the dolphins play underneath you in the bow wave.  Plus these small ship can visit intimate ports the big ships can't access.

If you love cruising but want a more personal, hands-on experience, look no further than the Tall Ships of the Star Clipper line.  Atlantic crossings range from 16 to 28 nights and sail each spring and fall.  Other shorter sailings are available in the Caribbean, Central America, the Mediterranean and the Panama Canal.

Imagine this… You can go up on deck to watch the sunset, and there is nowhere else you have to be. Learn more about Star Clippers here and ask me about my personal experience with Star Clippers.  https://www.starclippers.com/us-dom/our-fleet/onboard/life-onboard.html
