Guernsey cows on the Guernsey Isle

I recently sail the British Isles with Princess Cruises, round trip from Southampton. This is the perfect way to explore various destinations in the region.

Here's an overview of my Itinerary

Southampton:

  • Embarkation/Disembarkation: Southampton serves as the starting and ending point of your cruise. It is a major port city in England, known for its maritime history and cultural attractions. There are plenty of options for pre and post excursions if you wish.

Guernsey Island:

  • Enjoy the chance to explore Guernsey Island. Discover its charming towns, beautiful coastline, and perhaps visit attractions like the Little Chapel. My excursion had only 9 people with Venture Ashore not Princess Shore Tours.

Scotland:

  • Visit Inveraray Castle, located in the picturesque town of Inveraray, Scotland. Enjoy a guided tour of the castle and have lunch included. You even have the opportunity to try Haggis, a traditional Scottish dish.

  • Luss and Loch Lomond: Explore the village of Luss, known for its quaint beauty, and visit Loch Lomond, a stunning lake in the Scottish Highlands.

  • Don’t miss the Overlook "Rest and Be Thankful." Take in the scenery situated along a road in Scotland. It offers breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape.

Ireland:

  • Dock at the port in Cork, Ireland. From there, you can embark on various excursions to explore the region's highlights.

  • Shore Excursions Group offers a great tour to visit Blarney Castle and you travel there by way of Irish Rail Tours. Don't miss the opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone for good luck!

  • Explore the museum at the port, which showcases exhibits related to the Titanic and Irish immigration. You may also learn about the graveyard from the people of torpedoed Lusitania.

Wales:

  • Visit Port Anglesea, which offers whale-watching opportunities. Enjoy the scenic beauty and keep an eye out for whales

  • Explore Caernarfon Castle, a magnificent medieval castle in Wales. It is handicap accessible, allowing everyone to appreciate its grandeur. Caernarfon Castle is historically significant as it is where Prince Charles was invested as the Prince of Wales. This event holds cultural and historical significance.

Take advantage of Princess Plus which includes: prepaid gratuities, Beverage Package (alcohol, specialty coffee and 2 desserts), & a shore excursion credit of  $50/day. While sailing the British Isles you will experience the amenities and services provided by Princess Cruises, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey.
