Creating the perfect Hawaiian vacation begins with a great travel agent. Hawaii has long been included on many people’s bucket list and yet, what many people don’t realize is how easy it is to fulfill this dream – and how – if you work with a Hawa...

On the Big Island of Hawaii
An invitation to attend the Hawaii Travel Exchange is a distinct honor – one I was given because of my expertise in this area and because of my high sales to Hawaii. The event rotates between islands; this time it focused on the island of Hawaii (the Big Island.)

My time there was filled with planned excursions and many hotel inspections. I was lucky to visit both sides of island – both Kona and Hilo … two completely different areas in look and feel. The western (Kona) side is much drier and full of lava rocks, with a landscape that can be lunar-like and surreal in places, but with many activities and a plethora of resorts.

Because the eastern (Hilo) side of the island receives the bulk of rain, it is more lush and green, and filled with beautiful forests and flowers. One of the highlights of this trip was seeing first-hand Volcanoes National Park. Kilauea has been active – an awesome sight to see and to experience. I definitely recommend seeing the volcano with a guided tour – you’ll learn volumes about its history and all the amazing Hawaiian stories that go with it. Of course, I recommend you contact me as I’ve most likely been exactly where you want to go in the islands. Mahalo!
