You'll know you're not 'home' when eating here!
I do … it’s one of my very favorite cities in the entire world – the people who live there are friendly and energetic; the city is beautiful and vibrant, filled with locals and tourists from all over the world, coming to see the iconic Sydney Opera House and either view or climb the world-famous Sydney Bridge and spend time enjoying The Rocks.

In Sydney, main areas for shopping and hotel stays are near the Rocks, near Circular Quay (where the boats come & go almost at all hours of the day and night) and also Darling Harbour. The Rocks, site of Australia’s first European settlement in 1788 and adjacent to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, is the main tourist and historic area in the city. Once a slum, with its buildings scheduled for a mass ‘tear down’, thankfully wiser heads prevailed; its preserved buildings and accompanying history make it one of the most visited areas in Australia.

Circular Quay, centrally located between the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, is the hub for ferry, rail and bus interchange; its surrounding area contain a myriad of restaurants and shopping venues.

Darling Harbour, a recreational area and home to many fun attractions, is an easy ferry ride away from Circular Quay. Some of these include: The Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Harbourside Shopping Center, Australian National Maritime Museum, the Star Casino and Entertainment Complex, Sydney Aquarium, the largest IMAX Theatre screen in the world, the Aboriginal Centre and more!

Some highlights of this trip ‘down under’ included the ferry to Bondi Beach with a VIP tour of the Surf Life Savings School, breakfast with the Koalas at the Sydney Wildlife World (also at Darling Harbour) and a day trip outside of Sydney to Featherdale Wildlife Park and then on to the splendid Blue Mountains.

Australia is calling me again and I can’t wait to go back! However, while I am ‘stateside’, I am looking forward to help make your trip to my favorite country absolutely amazing!
