Always one of my favorite activities!
When I think about all of my Aussie adventures, one of the favorites has got to be Kangaroo Island. A short 45-minute flight from Adelaide brought me to the land of wild kangaroos, koalas in the trees, Seal Bay, the Arch, Remarkable Rocks and lunch in the bush. Visiting the penguins on a guided tour is usually included as well. Amazing little creatures – and so much fun to watch.

At Seal Bay, the ‘residents’ aren’t performing – they’re lying beside you on the beach. And, the Koalas aren’t being cuddled – they’re relaxing at home in native trees. Kangaroo Island is about 15 km wide by 150 km long and is called a “zoo without fences.”

Yes, Kangaroo Island will awaken your senses to a truly inspiring experience. Actual tours range in length from one to three full days: bushwalking, fishing, horseback riding, trekking, experiencing fresh Island cuisine are some the must-dos, plus Kangaroo Island offers several varieties of its own wine. Come to Kangaroo Island and experience, first-hand, your own wildlife spotting adventure.
