I fell so in love with Mexico that I decided to move there for nearly five months. I stayed in Puerto Peñasco with my dog Teddy Bear in a condo minutes from the beach and city center. I worked as a bartender at a beach resort where I had the opportunity to meet endless travelers and bonded with the local staff.
The food scene was fantastic and seeing the fisherman in action and then watching the fresh dishes come to life at the resort was quite the experience. My favorite thing to eat was oysters. Be sure to have them at Wrecked at the Reef when visiting Puerto Peñasco aka Rocky Point.
If you are a golfer be sure to make a tee time at The Links at Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort. Visit the Malecon for lunch and shopping during the day and music and entertainment at night.
When you are ready to head south of the border let's plan your magical stay in Mexico!

Their gorgeousness is a composition of Chalk!
See the iconic chalk-white coastline. So special that it’s had songs dedicated to it! This is the point where Great Britain is closest to Europe, on a clear day the cliffs are visible from France.
The White Cliffs flank the port city of Dover with vertical precipices over 350 feet high, a solid wall of gleaming white that extends to both horizons. Its striking appearance to its composition of chalk accented by streaks of black flint, deposited during the late cretaceous.
It is a spectacular sight; the cliffs seem to rise straight out of the water in a single mass of milk-colored rock, broken only by the narrow gorge into which Dover is jammed. They appear more like a school child’s painting of a cliff than the sloppy reality of an actual cliff.
