One of the first things you’ll remark on when you arrive in Ireland is the friendliness and generosity of its citizens. Ireland, as other European countries, was hit hard by the travel restrictions necessitated by Covid 19. They are thrilled to have visitors once again, and welcome travelers with open arms.
It’s hard to know where to begin to describe the attraction of the Emerald Isle. Could be the rugged beauty of its shoreline, the towering Cliffs of Moher, the windswept Inchydoney Beach or the scenic drive along the Giant’s Causeway. Or maybe it’s the “dream come true” feel of nightly stays in ancient castles-turned-hotels and country estates surrounded by lush green fields and forests.
Certainly part of it is the lively music and traditional dance that force you to tap your toes and clap your hands! Irish pubs are certainly part of the appeal, as it’s in a pub that you’ll really get to know the local folks who can give you the low-down on local festivities, the best places to shop and eat, and how to avoid pranks by the pesky leprechauns who know a tourist when they see one! And don’t forget to check out one of the many whiskey distilleries that offer tours -- one located in an ancient church.
Go to Ireland if you prefer a casual experience, a flexible itinerary, and a chance to share a pint (and a laugh) with local people. Whether you prefer a guided tour or a self-drive itinerary, I can help make your trip to Ireland a reality.
