I have traveled to Europe on multiple occasions, but this was my first group tour experience. I enjoyed group travel even more than I could have imagined and Luxury Gold Vacations has thought of every detail.
They hit all the marks ... tour guides, accommodations, cuisine and cultural immersion. We had the very best local traveling concierge who was very knowledgeable and an affinity for her beloved country. We stayed at 5 star hotels, dined on Michelin Star cuisine, and the ultimate VIP experiences only available to Luxury Gold guests. I knew the itinerary before going but was still very impressed with the perfect blend of guided and independent exploration.
There were so many things I enjoyed throughout my travels in Ireland, but the ultimate highlight was staying at the Ashford Castle. This remarkable 800-year-old Castle is Ireland’s only five-star hotel and was once home to the Guinness family. There is original artwork and antiques, delicious dining and special entertaining venues including a billiards room, cinema and under-ground wine cellars. The accommodations, the history, the views, it truly had it all. I will cherish all of the memories from Ashford Castle, it was definitely a highlight.
