New Zealand
In all my years as a Travel Professional, I’ve asked countless people, “What’s on your must-see list?” And without fail, New Zealand is always at the top! Honestly, who wouldn’t want to experience this majestic part of the world?
I was fortunate enough to visit both the North and South Islands, and what I love about New Zealand is that it offers the perfect blend of laid-back charm and action-packed adventure, all while being nothing short of epic.
The country is home to endless national parks, a rich Maori culture, and unforgettable experiences like sailing through the sounds while dolphins playfully follow your yacht. And let’s not forget the awe-inspiring moment of witnessing a sperm whale off the coast of Kaikoura—talk about jaw-dropping beauty!
Oh, and did I mention wine? If you’re a fan of great wine (and who isn’t?), New Zealand is a must-visit for its world-class Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and more. How do I know? Because I couldn’t resist visiting a winery or two during my travels!
Honestly, I could go on and on about the magic of New Zealand, but if you’re reading this, you already know you want to explore this incredible part of the world. Let’s work together to create your perfect New Zealand adventure!
Australia
Let me start by saying, I’ve wanted to visit Australia since I was a child. Why, you ask? Well, to pet a kangaroo, of course! And yes, I did! Not only did I pet a kangaroo, but I actually fed FOUR at the same time. Childhood dream come true, right? And I can’t wait to go back for round two.
While I was in Sydney, I had the chance to experience the spectacular Vivid Sydney Festival, celebrating its 10th year. It was honestly WOW! Never in my wildest dreams did I think Australia would be so perfect to visit during their winter season. But coming from Minnesota, their “winter” felt more like our fall—absolutely ideal! Seeing the Sydney Opera House light up during the festival was something I’ll never forget.
And then there’s the Blue Mountains region—so lovely to explore on foot. From there, we ventured to Hunter Valley (known to the locals as "The Hunter"), where wine flowed freely, and every glass was more delicious than the last.
Australia’s size is truly hard to grasp until you’ve experienced it firsthand. To put it in perspective: Sydney would be in Florida, Cairns (home of the Great Barrier Reef) would be in Maine, Uluru (Ayers Rock) would be in Kansas, Melbourne would be in New Orleans, and Perth would be in Los Angeles.
Whether you're dreaming of visiting the world’s largest Great Barrier Reef, immersing yourself in Aboriginal culture, swimming with whale sharks, or gazing upon the majestic Uluru, Australia has endless possibilities waiting for you.
Let’s make your dream trip to Australia a reality—one that you’ll remember for the rest of your life!

Having visited both, I can personally attest to how unforgettable they are. If these haven’t already made it onto your must-visit list, they absolutely should!
Whether you're an adrenaline junkie, a beach lover, or simply someone looking to take in some jaw-dropping views, these destinations offer the perfect blend of natural beauty, adventure, and unique experiences. Let’s explore what makes these places stand out for your next trip.
For adventure seekers, these two countries have it all. Picture yourself hiking through the surreal landscapes of New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park or riding the world-famous waves on Australia’s Gold Coast. Then there’s the Great Barrier Reef—whether you’re diving or snorkeling, you’ll be surrounded by vibrant marine life in one of the world’s most stunning natural wonders. With endless adventure options, you can create your own experience in some of the most spectacular locations on the planet.
When it comes to natural beauty, Australia and New Zealand are in a class of their own. From New Zealand's snow-capped peaks and rugged fjords to Australia's vast outback and sun-kissed beaches, the scenery will leave you in awe. Picture yourself exploring the iconic Uluru in the Australian outback or soaking in the views of Queenstown, framed by majestic mountains and serene lakes. Whether you’re hiking, kayaking, or just absorbing the beauty around you, the landscapes here are like no other.
For wildlife lovers, both countries offer incredible opportunities to see unique animals in their natural habitats. Imagine petting a koala or watching kangaroos hop through the Australian bush. Meanwhile, New Zealand is home to the adorable kiwi bird and the world’s smallest dolphin, not to mention countless other species you won’t find anywhere else. One of my fondest memories is feeding kangaroos, with some even climbing onto me—a moment that has stayed with me as one of my most cherished travel experiences.
The cities in these countries blend modern excitement with laid-back charm. Sydney and Melbourne offer world-class dining, shopping, and arts scenes, while Auckland and Wellington exude a relaxed vibe with their cozy cafes, local culture, and stunning harbors. One of the best parts? The locals are incredibly friendly, so you'll feel right at home wherever you go.
Culinary enthusiasts will also find plenty to love here. Australia's multicultural food scene offers everything from fresh seafood to innovative international flavors, with iconic dishes like the Australian meat pie and pavlova, a meringue-based dessert that’s a local favorite. Meanwhile, New Zealand is renowned for its tender lamb and famous green-lipped mussels. Both countries are a food lover’s dream, offering a diverse array of flavors and unique local delicacies.
Beyond the natural beauty and food, Australia and New Zealand are rich in culture and history. In Australia, you can explore the deep and ancient Aboriginal culture, dating back over 60,000 years. Over in New Zealand, the Maori culture is deeply woven into the land’s history, offering immersive experiences that bring their heritage to life.Whether you're planning a honeymoon, a family vacation, or a solo adventure, these two countries offer something for everyone. Families can enjoy wildlife tours and interactive museums, while couples and solo travelers can find romantic retreats and peaceful spots to relax and disconnect.
One of the best parts about traveling here? It's easy to visit both countries on the same trip. Just a short flight separates them, so you can explore Australia's vast landscapes and then hop over to New Zealand’s rolling hills and coastal beauty for the ultimate adventure.
In conclusion, Australia and New Zealand offer the perfect mix of adventure, nature, culture, and relaxation. From breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cities to warm, welcoming locals, your trip will be filled with unforgettable experiences.
