New Zealand

In all my years as a Travel Professional, with curiosity I've asked several the question "What are your must see countries?"  I was hard pressed to find one that did not list New Zealand!  I mean who wouldn't wa...

I always like to ask my clients the question "Would you prefer a Family Friendly Resort or Adult Only?" Often I hear, “It doesn't matter, but I guess I'm not sure what the difference is?" I hear this so often I thought it was time for me to write about it.

When people hear Adult Only, their mind automatically goes to adults only = swingers or nudist resort.  They do have these options for those interested, but the standard adults only is just that … adults only. This is where a travel advisor can come in handy to help ensure you are choosing the resort that best fits YOU.

In my personal travels, my husband and I tend to migrate towards an adult only resort. These resorts feel much more relaxing. It’s definitely less chaotic without kids running around monopolizing the pool bars with smoothie requests, pool cannon balls and crying. Even with entertainment, they don’t have to cater to that 5-year old that’s sitting in the audience.

I often have clients explain to me, “I really like kids … but on vacation I just would really like no kids running around.” I certainly understand since I’m the same. There is a reason year after year more adults only resorts are opening, they have become quite popular. On the flip side - I’ve worked with couples who love the antics and energy of a family friendly resort.

It’s great that we’ve got the option to choose between a family friendly & adult only resorts depending on what type of experience you’re seeking. I’m here to help you figure out which is the right fit you and your personal needs.
