New Zealand

In all my years as a Travel Professional, I’ve asked countless people, “What’s on your must-see list?” And without fail, New Zealand is always at the top! Honestly, who wouldn’t want to experience this majestic ...

Let’s start with the first question: “Do most travelers purchase Travel Insurance?”

Travel Insurance is a personal decision. My job is to explain the benefits so you can make the best choice for you. I’d say about 65% of my travelers get some form of Travel Insurance, since there are different types to consider.

Next question: “Would you recommend Travel Insurance?”

Yes, I do recommend Travel Insurance, especially for international travel. Most people aren’t covered medically if something happens while abroad. It’s a good idea to contact your insurance company to check on your personal coverage. Travel Insurance can also protect you if you need to return home early due to an emergency, covering the cost of your trip back and any unused travel. For domestic trips, I still suggest considering insurance. It’s all about looking at your situation and deciding what’s best for you. Ultimately, it’s about peace of mind, and that’s a personal choice.

Finally, “Do you get Travel Insurance?”

Yes, I do, every time I travel internationally. Do I love paying for it? Not really—who does? But just like any insurance, I’m always relieved to have it if something goes wrong. If you’re traveling internationally, going on a cruise, or need medical coverage, Travel Insurance is definitely worth considering. If you decide you'd like it for your trip, I can help you in figuring out which insurance is best for you.
