New Zealand
In all my years as a Travel Professional, with curiosity I've asked several the question "What are your must see countries?" I was hard pressed to find one that did not list New Zealand! I mean who wouldn't want to experience this majestic part of the world?
Recently I was able to explore several areas of this amazing country, being fortunate in visiting both the North & South Island. What I love is New Zealand can be mellow or action-packed, yet it will still always be epic!
From the endless national parks, dynamic Maori culture, to experiencing the sounds aboard a yacht while gazing upon dolphins. And let’s not forget about laying witness to the majestic beauty of a sperm whale off the coast of Kaikoura.
Wait, did you say you enjoy wine? They have some of THE best in the world....how do I know? Because how could I go all the way to New Zealand and not visit a winery or two. New Zealand offers the deliciousness of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnays, Pinot Noir, Merlot and many more!
I really could go on and on, but no need if you're reading this you already KNOW you want to explore this part of the world. I would love to help you create the best version of New Zealand for you!
Australia
Let me start by saying, I have been wanting to go to Australia since I was a child. Why you ask? Well to pet a kangaroo of course! And I did! Not only did I pet kangaroos, but I fed 4 simultaneously! It was a childhood dream come true, and I cannot wait to go back and repeat the experience.
I was in Sydney during the spectacular International lights and music festival, Vivid Sydney. It was their 10th year, and all I've got to say is WOW! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought Australia would be so perfect to visit during their winter season. Although being from Minnesota it was more like our fall temperatures. So again, perfect! It was extra special to experience VIVID Sydney and see the iconic Sydney Opera House light up. If you travel during this time of year, it truly is a must see.
The Blue Mountains region of Australia was truly lovely to walk amongst. Then headed to Hunter Valley (to locals known as "The Hunter") where wine in this region was flowing plentifully and was quite delicious!
After making a visit to Australia I now understand why many choose to go there for 2 - 4 weeks on a vacation. It's truly hard to grasp the sheer size of Australia until you have been there yourself. To give you an idea, think about the USA. Sydney would be in Florida; Cairns (Great Barrier Reef) would be in Maine; Uluru (Ayers Rock) would be in Kansas; Melbourne would be New Orleans; and Perth would be Los Angeles.
If you're looking to visit the world's largest Great Barrier Reef, immerse yourself in Aboriginal communities, swim with whale sharks or gaze upon the Uluru (Ayers Rock) the possibilities really are endless in Australia!
Together we'll create your dream trip to Australia that you'll remember for the rest of your days!

There many gay-friendly places to travel around the world, however, I'd like to talk about some of the top incredible honeymoon spots you may want to consider for this once in a lifetime getaway!
A few of my top destination picks, with some quick highlights:
French Polynesia: Is jaw dropping gorgeous! Who wouldn't want to consider these incredible islands for their honeymoon? With truly epic sunsets, it's one of the most romantic islands I've ever had the pleasure to experience! From fresh seafood with constant flowing wine (hey, they are French Islands after all), to endless adventure options and the chance to experience the original overwater bungalow. You'll find several island choices that may fit your travel style, but together we can navigate to find the perfect itinerary.
Greece: The top gay-friendly island is Mykonos, known for entertaining gay bars and clubs, gay-friendly beaches & hotels. Then you've got Santorini which is the 2nd most gay-friendly island, this island draws many honeymooners! A few of the other more gay-friendly islands are Paros, Skiathos and Antiparos. These lesser known islands really can give you a more laid back experience away from tourist crowds.
Curaçao: Is one of THE most welcoming Caribbean Islands for gay travelers. Their "Live and Let Live" motto describes their relaxed style. Willemstad is a wonderfully authentic with a beautiful historic area known for its rainbow colors. You'll also be able to choose from numerous uncrowded beaches. They also boast fantastic dive/snorkel options here!
Aruba: Unfortunately not all caribbean islands are known to be gay-friendly, however this couldn't be further from the truth for the lovely island of Aruba! With their endless cuisine choices, architecture, and warm friendly people this makes for a wonderful choice for any honeymooner!
Mexico: Mexico has always been a country that welcomes LGBTQ travelers with open arms! The most highly recommended areas would be Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta/Punta Mita, Alcapulco & Riviera Maya/Cancun areas. All of these areas are quite different from each other and together we can figure out if one of them is right for your honeymoon!
Hawaiian Islands: Hawaii boasts spectacular scenery in the form of cliffs, mountains, waterfalls and rain forests. Hawaii offers plenty of relaxation and action, with TONS to do and see! Its lovely temps year-round it makes an ideal choice. There is a reason many choose this destination for their honeymoon or anniversary trip, one day you should find out for yourself why!
Paris: For over a 100 years, this top rated romantic city has been embracing the gay community. The Marais, is the city's favorite "gayborhood", however this isn't the only neighborhood, just the most famous. Though I hear it's a must visit while in Paris. This European city is history enriched and simply beautiful, it’s perfect for those looking for a little more than just romance!
Thailand: Oh my, Thailand! Such a fabulous choice! Boasting many popular gay-friendly areas such as: Phuket, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Koh Kut, Pattaya & Krabi. In this exotic country you truly can find it all! No matter if you're seeking nightlife, stunning beaches, are a nature lover or adventure seeker. Thailand just might be your perfect honeymoon story to capture it all!
New Zealand: Love nature? This should be high on your list to consider for this once in a lifetime trip! From the incredibly friendly Kiwi's, to the natural beauty and let’s not forget the fun cosmopolitan cities. Plus love wine? While they aren't a large distributor I can personally vouch for them having some pretty delectable choices! Together we can create your perfect New Zealand Itinerary!
Cape Town, South Africa: Cape Town, has a vibrant gay culture—the heart of it being chic De Waterkant. Here you'll find a variety of clubs and bars. If you decide on this as your honeymoon local, I recommend all of my travelers regardless of gender or sexual orientation it's best to avoid overt display of affection. Doing this respects local customs and avoids offending people.
Sydney, Australia: Much like New Zealand, Australia is very welcoming. Sydney just happens to one of the must visit cities! In fact this holds true regardless of your sexual orientation. From gazing upon or taking in a show at the jaw dropping Opera House, to strolling Darling Harbour, from pub crawling the various bars & nightclubs to visiting Taronga Zoo or even a museum or two! This is a city you'll want to definitely dedicate a few nights to on your Down Under journey. Plus, Sydney hosts a two-week cultural & entertainment festival called the Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras.
While there are MANY areas of the world that will happily welcome LGBTQ travelers, above are just some of the most popular choices. I look forward to working with you to create the honeymoon you've always envisioned!
