In all my years as a Travel Professional, with curiosity I've asked several the question "What are your must see countries?"  I was hard pressed to find one that did not list New Zealand!  I mean who wouldn't wa...

Sandals Royal Caribbean Overwater Bungalows

Have you always dreamed of staying in an overwater bungalow, however you just can’t handle the thought of an 8.5 hour flight from LA? Well, now you don’t have to because there are luxury overwater bungalows closer than you think right here in the Caribbean & Mexico

I was lucky enough to stay in a few overwater villas myself. I can attest to its uniqueness and it’s worth the splurge without a doubt.  There is just something about staying over-the-water that is so relaxing and enjoyable.  You can choose from staying at Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals South Coast, Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Royalton Antigua or El Dorado Maroma (Palafitos Overwater Bungalows). Another honorable mention, while not technically in the Caribbean would be Cayo Espanto located in Belize.

Many of my travelers LOVE all-inclusive, and that’s one of the best parts . . . these bungalows are! Plus, you’ll get the added benefit of butler service when staying in an overwater bungalow.  Now, I know what some of you might be thinking, “What in the world will I need a butler for?"  Let me just say ... you'd maybe be surprised by how many people genuinely love it! This is truly where luxury meets exceptional hospitality.  What I hear from my clients is you can tell just how much they love their jobs and strive to ensure a special and memorable experience for you.  So in the end, it’s not about "need" it's about enhancing your experience in an unexpected way.

If you’re considering an overwater bungalow experience for your honeymoon, anniversary, baby moon or just want to get away from it all ... I encourage you to take the plunge. These OWB accommodations book up fast, often times 1 to 2 years in advance so be sure to book early.  I would be more than happy to help you find the right accommodations and destination.
