New Zealand

In all my years as a Travel Professional, with curiosity I've asked several the question "What are your must see countries?"  I was hard pressed to find one that did not list New Zealand!  I mean who wouldn't wa...

Over the years, I’ve had customers ask me …“What are your favorite fruity cocktails you order on vacation? I want to try different ones I'd never order at home!"

With that I thought I’d share a few fun delicious ones that I personally really enjoy:

(Please keep in mind each resort will vary on if they are able to make these for you)

  • Dirty Monkey: Vodka, coffee liqueur, banana (or banana liqueur, but much better with fresh in my opinion) & Piña colada mix.

  • Mango, Strawberry or Banana Daiquiri: These are always a staple for me! Either white or spiced rum - whatever you prefer.

  • Miami Vice: 1/2 Strawberry Daiquiri & 1/2 Piña colada **To turn this into a Superman - Add Blue Curacao & Vodka.

  • Muds Slide: Vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream and chocolate syrup

  • Sex on the Beach: Vodka, peach liqueur, orange juice, cranberry juice and coconut cream or cream.

  • Caipiroska: - Vodka, Lime & Syrup/sugar (Big time favorite!) Some resorts may not know how to make this, being that this is a Brazilian Drink, so you may need to provide the recipe.

  • Mini Beer Shot: Licor 43 & Cream (As far as I know, this is only available at certain Mexico Resorts)

  • Planter Punch: White rum, dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice and grenadine

  • Harvey Wall Hanger: Vodka, Galliano liqueur & orange juice

  • Iceberg: Beer & Margarita combined. I personally am not a fan as I rarely drink tequila, however many seem to enjoy.

  • Pam’s Speciality: A cocktail that we came up with on our travels and is our absolute favorite - is Amaretto Sour Frozen/blended + can add Strawberry if you’d like. Opt for Amaretto Disaronno if available.

With any of these drinks, keep in mind you can always ask for them frozen.  Not everyone thinks of this, but makes for a tasty refreshing treat in the warm climates!

As my travels continue this list may evolve….for now these are some you may decide you'd like to try as well!
