I have been working with customers on their vacation plans for over 20 years. The beach, the sand and the turquoise water. Is there any better place to relax? I have helped singles getaways, honeymoon couples, young families and families planning ...

Embarking on a river cruise is a voyage of discovery, and my recent journey with AmaWaterways on the Amalyra was nothing short of enchanting. Navigating the serene waters from Paris to Normandy, the Amalyra promised an intimate and personalized experience aboard its smaller ship, hosting only 124 passengers. AmaWaterways hit this itinerary out of the park providing an unforgettable journey marked by exceptional food, attentive staff, and culturally rich excursions.

The Amalyra, a smaller ship that exudes sophistication with its modern design and comfortable amenities. With a limited number of passengers, the ship fostered a close-knit community, allowing for more personalized interactions and a sense of exclusivity. The intimate setting made it easy to make connections with fellow travelers and enjoy the journey in a more relaxed manner.

One of the standout features of my river cruise with AmaWaterways was undoubtedly the culinary experience. The onboard chefs showcased their culinary expertise through a diverse menu that catered to various palates. From gourmet dinners to casual lunches, each meal was a delightful exploration of flavors. A highlight was the exclusive dinner at the chef's table, a gastronomic adventure that allowed me to savor exquisite dishes while engaging with the talented chefs behind them.

The attentive and friendly staff aboard the Amalyra contributed significantly to the overall exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped on board, the crew's commitment to ensuring passenger comfort and satisfaction was evident. Their knowledge, professionalism, and genuine warmth created an atmosphere that made the journey truly special.

The itinerary, from Paris to Normandy, unfolded like a storybook, with each stop revealing a piece of France's rich history and culture. The visit to Normandy Beach left a permanent mark on my heart. The US memorial, funded and maintained by the United States, stands as a tribute to the brave soldiers who fought during World War II. The solemn atmosphere and the vastness of the memorial served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for freedom. Honfleur, with its charming, cobbled streets and historic architecture, was a picturesque stop on our journey. The 14th-century church, with its awe-inspiring beauty, provided a glimpse into the town's rich past. Strolling through the quaint streets, I felt transported to another era, appreciating the authenticity of this hidden gem. Our cruise concluded with a captivating city tour of Paris. Despite the closure of a 15th-century bookstore (which piqued my interest), the overall experience was nothing short of enchanting. I loved exploring the city's iconic landmarks and the timeless beauty of Paris.

My river cruise with AmaWaterways on the Amalyra was a seamless blend of luxury, cultural exploration, and personal connections. From the intimate setting of the smaller ship to the delectable culinary offerings and the insightful excursions, every aspect of the journey was wonderful. Let’s plan your extraordinary adventure through the heart of France.
