As a lover of travel, there’s nothing I enjoy more than exploring new destinations—especially when I get to share the experience with my kids. For spring break, we traded in the typical sun-and-sand getaway for something truly unforgettable: a family-friendly tour through Europe with Globus.

Why We Chose Europe in March

March is considered a shoulder season in Europe, meaning fewer crowds and more relaxed sightseeing. While I’ve traveled extensively, I knew I wanted support on this journey with my children, so I opted for a guided tour—and Globus delivered an incredible, stress-free experience.

London Highlights & Optional Excursions

Our adventure began in London, where we had time to explore on our own. We visited iconic landmarks including:

  • Big Ben

  • The Houses of Parliament

  • Westminster Abbey

  • Buckingham Palace

  • St. Paul’s Cathedral

We also joined two optional Globus excursions—both were fantastic and worth every penny:

  • A Taste of London: A classic British dining experience followed by a scenic nighttime Thames River cruise. Don’t miss the traditional fish and chips!

  • Tower of London Tour: We viewed the Crown Jewels and explored centuries of royal history. Highly recommended!

Stonehenge & Bath

On our way to Bath, we stopped at Stonehenge, the mysterious prehistoric monument. Fun fact: historians still debate its true purpose! That night, we stayed in the charming city of Bath, known for its ancient Roman baths and Georgian architecture.

Shakespeare & The Beatles

Next up was Liverpool, but not before a cultural detour to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. We visited his childhood home and walked in the footsteps of the world’s most famous playwright. In Liverpool, we immersed ourselves in Beatles history, visiting Penny Lane and the iconic underground bar where the band was discovered.

Edinburgh, Scotland

Our tour concluded in Edinburgh, where we explored the impressive Edinburgh Castle and viewed Scotland’s Crown Jewels. Later, we strolled down the Royal Mile to the Palace of Holyroodhouse—a favorite of mine from a past trip that I was excited to share with my kids. They loved it as much as I did!

Why Europe with the Family

People often ask me, "What’s been your favorite trip?" And while it’s hard to choose, this family vacation through the UK and Scotland is definitely at the top of the list. Traveling with Globus made everything easy, educational, and truly enjoyable for both me and my children. If you're considering a family tour to Europe, especially during the off-season, I can’t recommend this experience enough. The memories we made together will last a lifetime.
