As a Minnesotan, Alaska was always on my list! But it surpassed my expectations!
We went snorkeling in Ketchikan, kayaking around Icy Strait Point where we saw whales, took the tram to the top of Mount Roberts in Juneau where it is North America’s northernmost temperate rainforests, took the train to Whittier where we biked down into Skagway, saw the Hubbard glacier calving, and then went salmon fishing in Seward.
We also pared on the land tour which is one the best way to see the remoteness of Alaska, we took a scenic wildlife cruise to see puffins, whales, and jelly fish, we hiked for blueberries, did a tour into Denali, took at scenic train, and experienced the everlasting daylight in Fairbanks! Alaska is a must do for everyone!
